ABOUT THE INSURER: This insurance is underwritten by Certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s and administered by All Seasons Underwriting Insurance Brokers Limited (ASUIA). Details of the name of the Syndicate can be obtained in writing to ASUIA.

PURPOSE OF THE INSURANCE: This is a travel insurance policy that, subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions contained in the policy wording, provides certain financial protection and medical assistance for your trip(s). This policy will have been sold to you on a non-advised basis and it is therefore for you to read this information (paying particular attention to the terms, conditions and exclusions) and ensure that it meets all of your requirements.

This policy does not provide any cover for pre-existing medical conditions.

You may already possess alternative insurance(s) for some or all features and benefits provided by this product; it is your responsibility to investigate this. If upon reading this policy you find it does not meet all of your requirements, please refer to the relevant cooling off / policy cancellation section.

ELIGIBILITY: To be able to purchase this policy:
  • You must be a permanent resident of the United Kingdom, Channel Islands or Isle of Man.
  • You must be registered with a doctor;
  • You must purchase the policy before the trip starts; and
  • Your trip must also start and end in the United Kingdom, Channel Islands or Isle of Man.


AGE LIMITS You must be between 3 months to 75 years. Any person age 76 years and above, may be eligible for insurance subject to referral to underwriters for acceptance of cover.
Children aged 3 months to 18 years must be accompanied by their parent(s) or if they travel alone must be dropped off and picked up by an adult aged 18 years and above.

PERIOD OF INSURANCE: The policy you have purchased will run for the period of insurance shown on your confirmation invoice issued by the selling agent.

Annual multi-trip policies will not be automatically renewed.

YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL: We hope you are happy with the cover this insurance provides. However, if after reading the policy this insurance does not meet with your requirements please contact VASCO UK within 14 days of issue and they will refund your premium in full, provided you have not travelled and no claims have occurred. If you cancel after 14 days there will be no refund of premium.

FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPENSATION SCHEME: Lloyd's Underwriters are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. You may be entitled to compensation from the Scheme if a Lloyd's Underwriter is unable to meet its obligations to you under this insurance.

If you are entitled to compensation under the Scheme, the level and extent of the compensation will depend on the nature of this insurance. SIGNIFICANT FEATURES, CONDITIONS AND EXCLUSIONS:



GENERAL CONDITIONS AND EXCLUSIONS APPLYING TO THE POLICY: Below are the significant conditions and exclusions applying to the whole of your policy. The policy includes many other benefits, conditions and exclusions which can be found in your policy document.

There is no cover under any section for claims arising from
  • Pre-existing or Chronic medical conditions
  • Psychiatric disorders
  • Sexually transmitted diseases and the conditions commonly known as AIDS or HIV
  • An Insured Person being under the influence of drugs or narcotics
  • Alcohol abuse, alcoholism, substance abuse, solvent abuse, drug abuse or addictive conditions of any kind
  • Normal pregnancy or childbirth, without any accompanying complications of pregnancy and childbirth.

HAZARDOUS SPORTS & LEISURE ACTIVITIES: You are not covered for taking part in any Hazardous Pursuit unless it is listed in the policy wording. You may be covered when participating in certain Hazardous Sports & Leisure Activities if You have paid to extend Your cover.

CONDITIONS AND EXLSUIONS APPLYING TO EACH SECTION:

PERSONAL ACCIDENT Provides cover for costs arising in the event of illness, injury or death occurring during the trip. There is no cover for Permanent Total Disablement or Permanent Disablement for anyone over the age of 70.
The amount payable is limited to 10% for children up to the age of 18.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL & OTHER EXPENSES Provides cover for emergency medical assistance in the event you suffer an accident or become ill during your trip. Any costs over GBP 500 must be authorised in advance by the Assistance Company.
TRIP CANCELLATION OR CURTAILMENT Provides cover for pre-paid costs in the event you have to cancel or curtail your trip. There is no cover for:
  • Any circumstances known to you before you purchased the policy or at the time of booking any trip that could reasonably be expected to result in a claim.
  • Cancellation or curtailment arising from injury or illness unless confirmed by a Registered Medical Practitioner that this prevented you from travelling.
  • Claims where the Assistance Company did not confirm the necessity of your return home prior to you curtailing your trip.
BAGGAGE , MONEY, PASSPORTS & DOCUMENTS Provides cover for Your own money, documents, personal luggage and valuables if they are lost, stolen or damaged during Your trip. There is no cover for:
  • Any item left unattended unless it is deposited in a hotel safe, safety deposit box or left in your locked accommodation and a police report confirms there is evidence of forced entry.
  • Valuables whilst in checked-n baggage.
  • Loss or theft of your baggage, unless reported to the police within 24 hours of discovery.
  • Damage, loss or theft of baggage whilst in the care of a carrier, unless you formally notify the carrier and obtain a Property Irregularity Report.
  • Contact or corneal lenses, hearing aids, dental or medical fittings, sports equipment, mobile phones and other items are excluded - see your policy wording for the full list
DELAYED BAGGAGE Covers you for the cost of emergency replacement of clothing, medication and toiletries in the event your baggage is delayed. There is no cover for:
  • Compensation that can be claimed from an airline under EU travel regulations.
  • Any claims where the carrier has not provided confirmation of the reason and duration of the delay.
SECURE WALLET Provides cover for the loss or theft of your credit cards, keys and travel documents There is no cover for:
  • Any claims where the police and credit card company have not been notified within 24 hours and a written report obtained.
  • Cash or debit cards.
  • Credit cards, keys and travel documents entrusted to children.
MONEY, TRAVELLERS CHEQUES & DOCUMENTS/PASSPORTS Provides cover for the loss or theft of money, travellers cheques and documents/passports There is no cover for:
  • Money and Travellers Cheques held by children.
  • Any loss or theft not reported to the police within 24 hours.
  • Loss or theft of credit cards
  • Money, Traveller’s Cheques or documents/passports left unattended unless they are deposited in a hotel safe, safety deposit box or left in your locked accommodation.
  • Damage, loss or theft of baggage whilst in the care of a carrier, unless you formally notify the carrier and obtain a Property Irregularity Report.
TRAVEL DELAY AND MISSED DEPARTURE Compensates you in the event your trip is delayed or you miss your departure due to the failure of a carrier or other circumstances outside of your control. There is no cover for:
  • Compensation that can be claimed from an airline under EU travel regulations.
  • Strike or industrial action publicly known at the time you purchase your insurance or book your trip.
  • You abandoning your trip.
ADVANCE OF BAIL FUNDS Provides you with funds towards the cost of bail following an inadvertent contravention. There is no cover for:
  • Any claims arising in your home country.
  • Any costs incurred in relation to your imprisonment.
